OK. We're back!
Wow, what a nice Saturday. Friday night was a little cold, but Saturday was beautiful.

Mr. Kelch (Sr.) did most of the cooking.
For breakfast we had:
sausage, French Toast, oatmeal, OJ and milk.

For lunch, we had cold-cut sandwiches and chips.
For dinner we had a FANTASTIC pot of chili with corn chips, cheddar cheese and oyster crackers.

There were other troops in the area and one troop was having its Thanksgiving cookout-campout complete with a smoked turkey and Dutch-oven pumpkin pie.

We set up a compass course and the scouts solidified their orienteering skills. There were also a couple of small hikes.

The "old-folks" (as Alex H. named us) were challenged to a football game against the young-folks. I'll leave it up to Alex H. to explain who got SMOKED like a turkey!

Afterward, some of the scouts played against another troop.

Amos (one of the best quartermasters we've ever had) packed the trailer in record time and we made it back to the church only a little late.

Scouts attending:
Alex H., Amos, Mitch, Thomas U., Zach U.

Adults attending:
Mr. Kelch (Jr.), Mr. Kelch (Sr.), Mr. Underwood, Mr. Hines

Thanks to all for making this event happen!
