Troop 111 Helps Webelos Scout Cross-over

On Thursday night, we (Troop 111) will participate in the cross-over (bridging) ceremony for a Webelos scout as he enters our Troop.

We will assist in the ceremony by welcoming that scout into the next phase of his scouting career and decorating him with the Troop Neckerchief.

Please arrive at St. Sabina Gym no later than 7:00 PM on Thursday, 4-FEB-2010 in full “Class A” Field Uniform (including the neckerchief, hardware and sash).

Our participation in this event should be completed before 8:00 PM.

Food: Pot Luck
Time: 7:00 PM
Place: St. Sabina Gym
Guest: Friends of Scouting Representative, Families and Other Guests

Please bring a pot luck item of your choice for everyone to share.
Also, please bring plates, utensils and drinks for your family and guests.

Since we’re rapidly approching summer camp, it’s time to think about gear.
Last night at the State Line Walmart, I saw trunks suitable for camp boxes for $16.00! :)

Christmas Celebration in Troop 111

Christmas Gifts

 

We will conduct our Christmas Party on December 21, 2009 during our regular meeting time.

The evening’s activities will include a gift exchange and games.
To participate, please bring a covered / concealed / wrapped gift valued at about $8 – $10.
The gifts should be in good taste and appropriate for a young man.
Participation is not mandatory.

Please bring the cracker barrel items of your choice for snacking.

Uniform: Class A (Field Uniform).

December 2009 Campout (Landahl / Missouri Town 1855)

Missouri Town 1855We will tour Missouri Town 1855 this weekend (11,12,13 Dec., 2009) as well as camp at Landahl Park Reserve.
The Landahl spot was chosen because our normal places for December are to be occupied by hunters.

The December campout (with Missouri Town) is usually one of the best regular campouts because it’s like visiting a living museum and the boys are free to have fun!
